This silly bird thinks the reflection in the mirror is her rival. I think she is laying eggs, now. I don't see her very often lately, but I do see the male coming to the feeder often. Posted by Hello

This is a neon colored Osteospermum. I love the blue eye. They make wonderful pot plants and bloom off and on all summer. this one is blooming in the greenhouse and is a carry over from last summer. They can be propagated by cuttings, but usually by seeds, which takes longer. Posted by Hello

Bonica Rose

Here's a rose I photgraphed today. Went into the greenhouse with the camera in hand and the humidity hit me like a blanket. My glasses fogged up immediately, so I took them off as I shut the door. I spotted this rose, held the camera up and clicked. Then I realized the lens was fogging up, but when I went in and downloaded the picture I discovered it made a nice soft appearance to the petals. Volunteer Violets

Here's a wider picture of the same bouquet. the blue long stemmed violets are also from a volunteer wild sweet violet. they are wonderful hardy violets, but may become a nuisance if allowed to go to seed, as every seed will germinate in a space of a foot or so, which is too crowded. Posted by Hello

Smiling Viola

These are a pert little group of flowers from the greenhouse.
The smiling viola was a volunteer from some pot. Most of the volunteers get moved to their own pots and fertilized. Some very fine violas and pansies get a good head start that way.
The Daisy on the right side is an English Daisy. They are common perennials in the European nations and England.

Greenhouse Flowers

These flowers are from the greenhouse today. God has richly blessed us. Posted by Hello

Here's a salad gathered from the plants in the greenhouse in winter 2005. Radish greens, parsley, herbs, Pansies, Strawberry leaves, Dandelion greens. Under that pretty ,healthy green stuff is some pale storebought lettuce and a little celery which I found in the refrigerator, which I put there about in September when harvested from the garden. Posted by Hello
